NFL Draft 2023: Start time, order of selection, and how to stream

In tonight’s NFL draft, the Eagles have two first-round picks, including the tenth pick.

We’re not really sure who will be the first choice in the 2023 NFL draft, which starts Thursday at 8 p.m.

It is still unknown which quarterback the Carolina Panthers will pick in the first round of the draft despite trading with the Chicago Bears to go to the top slot. Bryce Young of Alabama appears to be the pick, according to oddsmakers and the majority of draft analysts, despite durability concerns stemming from his height (5-foot-10 and 204 pounds), which raises questions. The other prominent candidate appears to be C.J. Stroud of Ohio State, who lashed out at detractors on Wednesday after his S2 cognitive test results were made public.

The Eagles, who have two first-round picks — No. 10 (due to a trade with the New Orleans Saints) and No. 30 — are the center of attention in Philadelphia.

Bijan Robinson, the top running back prospect this year, is from Texas, and there has been a growing chorus calling for him to be selected, particularly on sports talk radio. But the Eagles didn’t select a running back in the first round since 1986, when they, coincidentally, selected Keith Byers with the No. 10 pick.

Josh Tolentino, an Eagles beat writer, believes the team might trade up to choose Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson with the No. 7 pick, while EJ Smith believes the team might select Northwestern offensive tackle Peter Skoronski with the No. 10 choice.

Each team has ten minutes in the first round to make their selection. Based on the pace of the previous several years, you may anticipate the Eagles to be on the clock for their selection around 9:10 p.m. if the Birds still have the No. 10 choice. It won’t happen until after 11 p.m. that the No. 30 choice is made.

The following information will let you watch and stream the 2018 NFL Draft:

How early does the NFL draft start?

It is planned for the 2023 NFL draft to start at 8 p.m. Eastern and last until 11:30 p.m. The draft will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN, and the NFL Network in addition to being streamed on NFL.com and the ABC, ESPN, and NFL apps (cable login is required).

Here is how the draft will be covered by television networks.

ABC

For the fifth consecutive year, ABC will broadcast its own coverage of the NFL draft on Thursday and Friday, emphasizing the prospects’ individual narratives rather than their precise contributions to the field. Along with the analysts Todd McShay, Kirk Herbstreit, and Desmond Howard, Rece Davis will serve as the host of ABC’s primary coverage.

ESPN

This year’s NFL draft will be broadcast by ESPN for the 44th time overall, starting in 1980. The Get Up! personality Mike Greenberg will serve as the anchor for the third consecutive year of the network’s coverage of the draft. Analysts Louis Riddick, Booger McFarland, and Mel Kiper Jr., who will cover his 40th NFL draft, will be with him on Thursday and Friday.

NBC Sports

Rich Eisen will serve as the host of NFL Network’s coverage for the 17th consecutive year. Alongside him will be CBS analyst Charles Davis, Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah, and Fox Sports lead college football commentator Joel Klatt.

ESPNEWS Deportes

Every round will be covered by ESPN Deportes in Spanish for the fifth consecutive season. Among others, Monday Night Football broadcasters Eduardo Varela and Pablo Viruega will be featured on the network’s program.

Where will the NFL draft be held this year?

The NFL opted to move the 2015 NFL Draft to Chicago after hosting it in New York City for over 50 years. Since then, the NFL has sporadically held the draft in several cities across the nation, including Philadelphia in 2017.

Fall Out Boy, Mötley Crüe, and Thundercat will all provide free concerts at this year’s touring roadshow in Kansas City. Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, will host “Kelce Jam,” a concert on April 28 that will feature appearances by Machine Gun Kelly, Rick Ross, DJ duo Loud Luxury, and Kansas City rap pioneer Tech N9ne.

The draft is slated to occur at Campus Martius Park in the heart of Detroit the following year.

Which team has the most picks in the draft?

The Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Houston Texans are the three clubs that each have 12 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Miami Dolphins are the ones with the least. Only four draft picks are now in their possession, and the NFL took away their first-round pick after discovering, through its inquiry, that the Dolphins had “impermissible communications” with Tom Brady both during the 2019 season and the 2021 summer.

The Eagles have how many selections in the draft.

The Eagles have a total of six picks going into the 2023 NFL draft, but that number will probably change once Howie Roseman starts haggling. The Eagles have traded and moved picks in each draft since Roseman took over as general manager in 2010 (though Roseman ceded that authority to former head coach Chip Kelly in 2015).

The Birds also have picks in the second, third, and seventh rounds in addition to their two first-round selections this year. Here is a complete breakdown:

Initially, No. 10

  • Round one, position 30
  • Round two, No. 62
  • Round three, No. 94
  • Round seven, No. 219

Round seven, No. 248
