Hamas declared on Tuesday that it will release some hostages in the upcoming days, which is a huge comfort for the families of those who are being held captive by terrorists. This coincides with the terror group’s declaration that Gaza will become an Israeli military cemetery.

The Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades’ spokesman, Abu Obeida, stated in a televised speech that the organization will be releasing a number of foreign nationals in the coming days.

“We have informed intermediaries that we will release a certain number of foreigners in the next few days,” added the official.

On October 7, Hamas militants launched an unprecedented onslaught against Israeli civilians, snatching away almost 240 individuals. The attack claimed the lives of around 1400 individuals, including women and children.

Thus far, Hamas has freed four of the hostages, while the Israel Army has managed to free one.

Armyman Ori Megidish was saved by Israel on Monday. Natalie, the 18-year-old daughter of American Judith Raanan, and she were both freed by Hamas.

They also let go of 79-year-old Nurit Cooper and 85-year-old Yocheved Lifshitz. But their husbands are still held captive by Hamas.

Israel has turned down Hamas’s proposal to free further captives in exchange for Israel freeing thousands of Palestinian detainees.

Following backchannel negotiations, Hamas freed the four hostages.

Obeida described Gaza as “a graveyard and a quagmire for the enemy, its soldiers, and its political and military leadership” when discussing the conflict.

3500 children are among the 8525 Palestinians who have perished in Israel’s bombardment, according to the health ministry operated by Hamas.
