When visiting Australia last month, Narendra Modi suggested Anthony Albanese visit Little India at Harris Park.

His Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese tried Indian street food there on Friday, days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi advised him to go to Little India in Harris Park.

“Great Friday night with @Charlton_AB in Little India’s Harris Park. We had the chaat at Chatkazz and the jalebi at Jaipur Sweets as recommended by Prime Minister @narendramodi – a winner!, the Australian prime minister tweeted.

Additionally, Albanese uploaded a video of himself eating Indian food.

To Albanese’s tweet, Modi responded immediately. “That seems like a great Friday night that incorporated the best of Indian culture and gastronomic diversity. A true winner, much like the partnership between India and Australia,” Modi said.

“I have heard that Chatkazz ‘Chaat’ and ‘Jalebi’ from Jaipur Sweets at Harris Park are very delicious,” Modi stated during his visit to Australia last month. I want you all to go there with my friend, Australian Prime Minister Albanese.

Hiroshi Suzuki, the ambassador of Japan to India, and his wife were seen in a video eating Indian food on the streets of Pune. Modi responded to the footage. At a restaurant in Pune, the ambassador’s wife and he sampled vada pav and misal pav.

The Japanese ambassador claimed that when it came to eating Indian food, his wife had the upper hand.

This is one competition you would not mind losing, Mr. Ambassador, in response, Modi tweeted. It’s nice to see you appreciating the variety of Indian cuisine and how creatively you offer it. Please continue to post videos.

In Pune, a video of the Japanese ambassador Suzuki enjoying street cuisine in the Maharashtrian tradition went viral on social media. The envoy, who was in Pune for a function, reportedly tried both Vada Pav and Misal Pav. He did have a slight quibble, though, in that it was too hot for him.

He uploaded a video of himself eating the street food to Twitter along with the message, “I love Indian street food…but thoda teekha kam please!”

On the advice of his Twitter followers, the Japanese envoy also tried Pune’s renowned Misal Pav and tweeted a video of himself devouring the treat.
