The alleged Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann’s Long Island home has been searched by police, and various items have been taken. A filing cabinet, a sizable painting of a woman with a bruised face, and a huge doll in a glass case are among the recent items removed, according to the Associated Press.

On Tuesday, July 18, observers saw investigators removing a desktop computer, a giant picture frame, a mirror, and other home goods while wearing “crime lab” T-shirts and safety jackets. It is uncertain, though, if these things will act as proof and support the prosecution’s case against Rex.

He Kept His Weapons In A Vault

Rex allegedly had “an arsenal” of more than 200 guns at his Long Island residence. Rodney Harrison, the commissioner of the Suffolk County Police, told Fox News that the man “had an arsenal in a vault he had downstairs.” Regarding whether or not the guns are registered or authorized, it is alarming. That is something we are still investigating. Anytime someone has that kind of a weaponry, Rodney continued, “We have some concerns.”

On Thursday, July 13, Rex, 59, was apprehended by officers in plainclothes as he walked down a sidewalk in Midtown. Rex had spent many years working in Midtown for his own business, RH Architecture.

On Friday, July 14, Rex appeared in court and entered a not guilty plea to three counts of first-degree murder as well as other accusations. The accusations centered on the over ten years ago deaths of three women. He is also the main suspect in a fourth homicide.

The ‘Gilgo Four,’ four women whose bodies were discovered days apart in 2010, are the subject of Rex’s arrest. Melissa Barthelemy, 24, Megan Waterman, 22, Amber Lynn Costello, 27, and Maureen Brainard-Barnes, 25, were the women in question. At the Suffolk County Correctional Facility, Rex is under suicide watch.

Rex Heuermann Served Donald Trump As An Architect

Rex reportedly formerly served as an architect for former president Donald Trump, according to reports. According to the New York Post, the Trump Organization contracted RH Architecture for a plumbing project on the 17th level of the Trump Building at 40 Wall Street, according to a file made in October 2018 with the New York City Department of Buildings. The project at the most beautiful Art Deco-style building was estimated to cost $205,017.00, according to the paperwork. Rex is listed as the applicant for the project. The owner is stated as Steve Lafiosca, vice president of property management for The Trump Organization.
