Series of Three Earthquakes Strike Jaipur, Rajasthan, Sending Tremors Across the Region

Jaipur, Rajasthan: In an unprecedented event, the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India, was hit by three significant earthquakes in the span of just half an hour on July 21, 2023. The tremors, measuring 6.3, 5.8, and 6.5 on the Richter scale, respectively, sent shockwaves through the region, causing panic and concern among residents.

The first earthquake, registering a magnitude of 6.3, struck at 10:15 AM local time and originated at a depth of 10 kilometers beneath the surface. It was followed by a second quake, measuring 5.8 in magnitude, which occurred at 10:30 AM. The third and most powerful tremor, with a magnitude of 6.5, hit the region at 10:45 AM, further exacerbating the situation.

As the ground shook, buildings swayed, and people rushed to evacuate structures, authorities and disaster response teams were swiftly mobilized to assess the situation and provide assistance to those in need.
