Chris Evans, Who Plays Captain America, Suggests He May Give Acting A Rest
Chris Evans stated that he does not anticipate returning to a movie set anytime soon and that he is “very satisfied” with who he is as a person in a recent interview.
Chris Evans, a well-known actor primarily recognized for playing Captain America, made a retirement announcement. The actor admitted that he has not yet shot a single day of 2023 and has no plans to do so in the near future in a recent interview with GQ. Chris said that he will ‘just maybe perform a little bit less’ in the future but expressed his desire to return for another Marvel film.

Chris responded, “Yeah, maybe,” when asked if he would ever return to Marvel in an interview with GQ. Just because it was such a beautiful experience, I won’t ever say never. But I also hold it in the highest regard. It’s something of which I am quite proud. And as I already mentioned, there are times when I find it hard to believe it actually happened. And I wouldn’t want the bad press if it appeared to be a money grab, didn’t meet expectations, or just didn’t seem to be related to the original thing. No time soon, then. Finally, I sincerely wish to act a little bit less in my life. I have many different interests. Look, I haven’t scaled any kind of a mountain in this field by any means. I don’t have any Oscars, and I’m not in any way grouped with other people whose names are at the top of the mountain. However, I also feel quite content.”
Chris on going a year without filming
Chris also discussed his connection with Alba Bapista in the same interview, as well as the fact that he hasn’t visited a set this year. “I haven’t worked a day this year, and I have no intention of doing so. When we first started dating, my long-term girlfriend. Yes, I do one movie a year, I responded. I try not to work anymore. Then, after just a short while of dating, guess what? For a year, we are residing in Atlanta. Be prepared. And even during that year, I thought, “Man, never again.”
Earlier this month, Chris Evans wed Alba Bapista in a secret ceremony. His Marvel co-stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner were among the attendees. In the Netflix film Pain Hustlers, he was last spotted.
