Home ownership was the main subject of John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight segment on Sunday night. In contrast, he made light of the fact that those under the age of 35 would never be able to purchase a home and made an entire other episode for the portion when the group discussed Chuck E. Cheese.

Accordingly, if you are under 35, this tale isn’t for you, Oliver added. “Our main story tonight concerns home ownership.” It won’t ever be for you. Never will you be a home owner. Sorry, but that is the agreement you signed when you chose to have a birthday after 1988.

In order to avoid making you feel excluded, Oliver said, “We’ve actually prepared a full alternative story for you tonight about Chuck E. Cheese, a different failing American institution that you should go on and watch instead.”

The 25-minute program was suitably titled “Last Squeak Tonight,” according to the HBO Max presenter. Oliver suggested that fans view the show online, which is available here.

Oliver poked fun at The Voice for having no notable winners as he continued to discuss property ownership in reality television.

“Sure, there are winners in theory, but identify just one. No winner of this show, which has been running for 15 years straight, is well-known, he claimed. You cannot, and neither can anyone, give me the first and last name of just one winner.
