During the RCB vs. LSG IPL 2023 match in Bengaluru, Avesh Khan of the Lucknow Super Giants was penalised for violating the Code of Conduct.

After the final ball of the IPL 2023 encounter between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru, the BCCI took note of Avesh Khan’s combative behaviour and censured the LSG bowler. On Monday, he was found guilty of violating the IPL’s code of conduct. Avesh Khan, a member of the Lucknow Super Giants, received a reprimand for transgressing the code of conduct. Avesh acknowledged committing level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct and consented to the punishment. The Match Referee’s determination for Level 1 Code of Conduct violations is final and binding, according to an IPL release.

LSG was under extreme strain as No. 11 Avesh Khan came out to bat with one run required off the final pitch. The seasoned Jaydev Unadkat made a straightforward catch to long on in the preceding ball but was unable to maintain composure. Avesh now had to find a way to steal a single and lead his team home.

But the drama was just getting started. When Harshal Patel, a medium pace bowler for RCB, noticed that non-striker Ravi Bishnoi was going for a single, he paused in an attempt to cause a run-out but miraculously missed the stumps. The Bishnoi survived. Yet, this did not prevent the youthful LSG leg-spinner from gaining an advantage once more. This time, Harshal bowled a typical delivery instead of attempting a second run-out. Avesh swung desperately for the ball, but he missed it completely. Avesh departed after observing Bishnoi’s frantic attempt to slip in a bye. Dinesh Karthik, the RCB custodian, had the first opportunity to recover the ball, but he failed to do so, giving Bishnoi and Avesh time to go home and give LSG a thrilling victory.

Gambhir throws his mouthful, then he and Kohli engage in a heated discussion.

Avesh reached the non-end, striker’s removed his helmet, and flung it to the floor. This particular behaviour led to the BCCI’s punishment.

Avesh was not the cricketer who faced disciplinary discipline during the intense RCB vs. LSG encounter. Once his team was found guilty of upholding a sluggish overrate, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis was assessed a 12 lakh fine.

The Lucknow Super Giants’ match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru resulted in a fine for the Royal Challengers Bangalore for continuing to maintain a slow over-rate.

According to the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which deals with minimum over-rate offences, captain Faf du Plessis was fined 12 lakh because it was the team’s first infraction of the season.
